Nikolaos Tsagkas is a PhD candidate in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. He holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence (with distinction) from Edinburgh and BSc/MSc degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Patras.
Nikolaos’s current research focuses on leveraging pre-trained visual representations for robot learning, with the aim of improving visuomotor control and robotic manipulation. He also holds a research intern position at Samsung Research’s AI Center in Cambridge (UK). Among his recent highlights, he has publications accepted at CoRL 2025, ICCV 2025, and IROS 2024, including work on flow-based visuomotor policies and affordance learning from egocentric video.
